So not to be thrown off my the title of this post, it is infact the name of the band! They are a 5 piece from Scotland (Woo, Scotland FTW). The gig was held in Glasgow’s Classic Grand…and just a little update, I’ve been informed that it was their first gig aswell, to which my response was…no way, they seem like they’ve been doing it for ages. Very very impressed!
Where to begin, well seeing as this is my first review, don’t expect sparkles n all sorts of fancy words n all that jazz.
So yeah, first things first, I have to say was the very beginning, the band hadn’t even played their first note and upon the stage appeared a microphone stand wrapped in christmas lights, which I thought was a great start to a gig, it gave the audience a sense of mystery and anticipation. As the crowd gathered at the front of the stage they opened with their first song, unfortunately didn’t catch the name, but there was no need. The first chord and the sudden burst of light that lit up the band got me hooked. From where I was seated it was a little difficult to see the band as a whole, which was unfortunate because the stage presence was incredible. Anyway, onto the songs, with the piano playing intricate melodies and the guitar with riffs that got the whole audiences attention was enough to see that this band were no amateurs when it came to entertaining a crowd. As I’ve said in the beginning, don’t expect any fancy words or a long detailed review but I’ll do my best!
As the gig went on the songs got better and better, there was one song in particular that stood out from the rest, again I didn’t catch the name of the song ( sorry :( I’ll try harder next time ). This song again got me hooked from the very first chord that was played but the thing that stood out most was the ending of the song, it came out of no-where, this… interrupted cadence, the music came to an abrupt halt and it was the end of the song, I was anxiously waiting for more but that was it, the song was finished. I sat there and I thought to myself, the last time I remember hearing an interrupted cadence was in high school studying advanced higher music. The bands set was nearing an end and again the band did something unexpected, another member came on (female this time) and with the most beautiful voice accompanied the lead singer in a more, down tempo song which played with the mood of the audience which I again thought that this band has had a lot of experience in the way they keep the crowds attention focused on them. Thus being said the gig came to an end which for me was a bit of a shame because the set was far to short for a band of such stage presence and musical talent. They are definitely a band that I would go and see again and again. I’d like to direct your attention to their Facebook page, if you liked this review then you definitely should go and check the band out.

And on that note, I hope you have enjoyed reading this short review and I should have more up in the up coming weeks.
ps. I know I mentioned having a video and an interview up but in this case the gig was a last minute plan that I found out about from a friend and decided to go. Next gig shall have up and interview and a video of the performance.
